Markets. Canadian investors need to be diversified.  If you can buy higher quality, cheaper companies with better dividends, then keep taking advantage because it won’t last forever.  Asia will continue to grow.  Europe will continue to recover and the US will continue to grow.  Asia and Australia will do well.  For income accounts you need Canadian dividends but if younger you might want 50-60% international.

Uranium.  Has not owned in a while.  It has to be a patient game.  It is one that if you are buying it you will have to wait much longer for the momentum to build.  There is a massive shortage of physical resource and so it will continue to pick up but the question is when.  Likes U-T.

Geography is North/South.  They are picking up a lot of companies.  They continue to add, taking advantage of cheap prices.  Their cash keeps building.  In the next run up this is going to perform very well.

2.8% dividend.  US banks are going to benefit as interest rates go higher.  This is an east coast bank.  Didn’t blow up during financial crisis.

You get the management and bonus fees to the company.  When the economy is doing well you get a good spin-off.  Stay away from these companies because you don’t know what you are buying. 

Owned from inception. They are just finishing their mine in Quebec and it will be up and running.  Lithium demand will go up due to Lithium Ion batteries.  You need some patience.  Will generate sales shortly.

Moving out of REITs and prefers AX and Boardwalk.  Likes REITs in Australia.  Likes REITs in the west because of the demographics. 

Acquired Metro PCS.  Increase coverage in US.  Dividend is very safe.  Best economy in Europe. 

Turn-around story.  Suffered during financial crisis but as middle class recovers this will be a positive story.  They cut their dividend. 

A very solid financing company.  Diversified global well run company.

Third biggest pipeline in his portfolio.  He has been adding to it.  They are executing on their strategy.  4.5% dividend.  They are a bit of a monopoly. 

A great company at this price. An up and coming producer.  Production is there and they are funded.  Cost of production is covered and they have the money for the mine.  Cash flow positive.  As gold comes around these companies will be great assets to own.

A gambling stock.  Has to be re-capitalized.  A dangerous investment.

It’s been coming down, trading at an increasing discount to gold because of uncertainty.  They have been cautious with their target.  With precious metals you have to have patience.  Doesn’t own it because it is in West Africa.

Markets.    Just launched an energy infrastructure fund.  There will be a 100 billion spent over the next 5 years in energy infrastructure.  Pipelines, mid-streams, oil services, and rail.  Differential will narrow with the infrastructure build.  Rail stocks are hitting new highs.  Oil by rail story does not evaporate if Keystone is approved and built.  Producers are looking for alternative transportation because pipelines are a monopoly.  CPG built rail terminals themselves.

Monthly Purchase Plans for ETFs.  Claymore used to offer one but not aware of it being available through do-it-yourself channels.  But Claymore was purchased by black rock.  It is a bit awkward to do it.

Newborn Child.  Investment for college is 17 year time horizon.  Low volatility world ETF is a possibility.  Suggests stocks for first 9 years and then something more conservative after that.

Loves it.  Phenomenal run in last little while.  New production in BC will increase cash flow next year.  Cash flow will be 80% utility-like next year.  It will get a multiple expansion next year.  3.7% dividend paid monthly.

Temporary housing accommodations.  It is essentially a 5 star hotel that keeps moving around.  Expanding into Australia.  About to break out.

Prefers over Canadian railroads.  A bit of a laggard because coal industry in US has been in decline.  11 times earnings vs. 18 times for Canadian.  They have 3 years of backlogs awaiting them.

Has been under a little pressure.  Thinks that it is a pause, not a stop.  Heavy hauling and crane services.  They increased their margins last quarter.  Rolling up all these acquisitions well.  Wait because there might be a seller out there.  But it is a buy.

Stable product, as good as any in that space.  He is not worried about it.

A favourite stock of theirs.  Biggest holding across their client accounts.  A smaller pipeline that they really like.  About 40% of the oil production in Canada.  Expansion plans in the oil sands.  4.6% dividend and have increased over the last 9 years. 

Global piping coating company but it is in their universe.  Just reported a record quarter.  Just collapsed their share structure. She is waiting for an active shareholder to be bought out, perhaps at a discount and she might want to participate.  It is a buy today for the retail investor. She is a Bull on Energy Infrastructure.

Most diversified dividend ETF in Canada, many hundreds of names and one of the lowest cost ETFs.

Market leading ETF for gold.  Physical bullion would be CGL-T.  He is not saying the gold run is not over.  He would not buy this, but the questions was ‘which one’.
