COMMENT
Market Outlook He thinks there are two classes of stock out there -- the strong and the weak. He is confounded about how this market continues to rally back. Those strong companies continue to thrive, the weak are struggling. Companies are re-tooling and this may make some companies stronger. Although there may be fewer companies at the end of this and this may not be the best scenario for consumers. He is also hearing that some companies are looking to expand their scope of business, so it will be very dynamic. Earnings are being priced out beyond 2021 and almost zero interest rates are making stocks look attractive. He thinks gold's recent rise is on the back of higher debt levels globally, which are highly correlated together. He prefers to own physical gold.

HOLD
AT&T
It is heavily indebted following a couple of huge acquisitions. They really need their streaming business to catch fire. The dividend is approaching 7%, but he is starting to question its longevity. He would continue to hold it here.
Telecommunications
WATCH
Stanley Works, The
This company has paid a dividend for 144 consecutive years. Primarily a tool and storage business and they own a 20% interest in a lawn and garden business, which they hope will grow to account for 20% of annual revenues. The tariff situation did not help them. It should do well when the economy picks up. Yield 2.5%

BUY
Enbridge
He took a position in ENB back in late-March around its lows. The dividend is attractive. There is some negative news regarding their Line 3 project as it may be coming under renewed review by the US state regulatory body. It looks good here he thinks. He would be a buyer here.

WAIT

Industrial US ETF? In the US industrial sector he sees it as being a tough place to be lately. He would look at some of the BMO family of ETFs. You have to be careful that you are not too concentrated (ie. Boeing). He has owned XLI. He has a neutral view on the space and would probably wait.

BUY ON WEAKNESS
He owns this name. If he is using it along with family and friends, then he is interested. He wonders about its sustainability. He is trading this with a tight stop in case their momentum reverses. He thinks it will be a habit that will be hard to break for people. Tread carefully at this valuation level.

BUY
Work from home? Scotiabank released a report saying it is trading at a discount and is good value. Retail holdings is only about 6% of their revenues. He thinks the market is overly punishing them. Another issue is that they may be a little too exposed to Brazil. A good opportunity to buy a Canadian company with a global franchise. He owns it and would accumulate here.

COMMENT
Royal Canadian Mint

Gold producers? He prefers to own the Royal Canadian Mint (MNT) and Sprot (PHY.US) and Franco-Nevada (FNV). He likes the physical element. He would also consider the Junior Miners ETF (GDXJ). At some point, there will be a role for gold to help the economy recover.
