Energy. This looks a bit stretched here because it is up 20% or so, but still has some potential to grow. Doesn’t think anything in the Middle East is going to solve itself anytime soon. In the long-term, in Canada especially, the gas market seems to be under a little bit of constraint, and there is some potential for growth in terms of the price, and that bullish market should continue. He wouldn’t be surprised that throughout the summer periods it should go higher. Inventory supplies are pretty low we could see a $5 handle on natural gas. Gold is also doing quite well this year. The only major sector that is lagging is the financials.

Markets. Thinks the Toronto market should continue to outperform to the end of the year, at least. His personal holdings are half energy and half small companies. Feels that with small companies there is a lot of potential growth. Canadian markets are going to be led by large companies, but you get the biggest bang for the buck from small companies and energy. Thinks it is possible that we’ll see a flatter, positive summer. Not anticipating big gains, but thinks there are positive elements in the US economy.

Bollinger bands indicate that right now there was a lot of contraction at the beginning of the year followed by a big expansion from $43 up to $88. Thinks we are in a period now of contracting prices, less volatility. Feels that if the stock continues to pull back, it will be around $71. If it drops below that, you probably want to exit. Volume is not too high right now. You want to see it going back up into the $80’s before you buy.

This stock is very, very difficult to judge. In the past, it has had bump ups like the current one. It disappoints more often then it excites. The current increase is based on optimism, but it is not a great-looking chart. Volume has declined back to its normal level. He would wait for it to break above $12 before buying. If it can break above that, he can see it going to $15.

This is very, very negative. One thing that is nice is that it opened up at one price and closed slightly higher. It is almost impossible to tell where it is going to go.

This is showing a lot of volume on the drop. There have been a couple of little rallies, but new lows being made each time. Definitely in a downward trend. Next support level is at about $60, and he feels it has the potential to get there. Selling volume is stronger than the Buying volume. If it made it up to $73, that would be a reversal.

2014-06-26 TOP PICK Must be logged in to use chart CDI-T Canelson Drilling

From a fundamental basis, it has a solid client base, and has a bunch of new efficient rigs. Deep driller, so a good utilization rate. It has gone up nicely to this consolidation point, and feels it is a good buying point. This would have an Exit at about $7.50.

His “Reduce” support line is $47 and his “Sell” line is $44.90. Chart shows a nice upward trend. All the moving averages are running up parallel. There was a little bit of consolidation around the beginning of May, and broke out to the upside in the beginning of June. He can see this continuing to go up.

2014-06-26 BUY Must be logged in to use chart EPB-N (Dead) El Paso Pipeline Partners L.P.

Chart shows a decline in Nov/Dec where it dropped from $41 to about $34. This was followed by it forming a nice bottom, and is now having quite a nice recovery. There might be a little pullback to $35, but he conceded getting back up to about $39. His target would be about $40. $34 would be an exit point.

Likes this. His “Reduce” support line is $14.60 and the “Sell” support line is at about $13. Doesn’t know what the news was, but it was up 7% on 17 June. Consolidating a bit right now. Volume is tapering off a little. This stock is in new territory, and if they continue staying up here and get above $15.60, it has a potential to take off again.

In a good regulatory environment where everybody is moving to LEDs. They don’t make them, but they install them. This is an early chart, so it is difficult to find a formation, but it does look very bullish right now. When they start coming out with earnings in Q3, he expects there will be other people coming into Buy. He would use an Exit point of $19 and start Reducing at $20

He sees 2 lines of support. The 1st line is at $114, which is where you would start to reduce. The 2nd is at $111, which is where he would recommend Selling. He likes the period of consolidation from March to June. The breakout from that determined the direction, which was up. If it breaks below $111, you don’t see a lot of support until about $95.

This is in a downward channel. If you are a short-term trader, you could take a chance, but he doesn’t like this industry group. Its current level can be a bit of a support. However, it has to break above its channel.
