Rally in the US, Europe, Japan, practically everywhere but Canada, which shows you have to diversify outside of Canada. For 10 years, Canada was the place to invest, but that's not the case anymore, you have to look outside. Almost all the new money they are investing is outside Canada.

Sees the US economy stronger then expected. Europe is in recession but expects that to end by the end of the year.

We are long overdue for a correction, which he would like because it takes the froth out.

Canadian market is 75% to 80% resources, materials and financials. Resources are depressed now. Financials which were really strong, are no longer bargains. US banks are where the growth will occur.

2013-05-17 BUY CSX-N CSX Corp

Is the old Chessy system railroad in the US. He is positive on railroads. If you thnk the US economy is picking up, then a railroad will also pick up. One difference between CSX and a Canadian railroad is they are tied in to coal shipments and that's been a little depressed. It's yield is 2.3% and has grown it's dividend 24% over the last 5 years.

2013-05-17 BUY EMP.A-T Empire Company (A)

Owns Sobey's and real estate, and movie theatres. A consumer non-durable stock, not economically sensitive, it has a good cashflow, a decent yield. It's the type of stock that investors want to own.  Never going to be exciting, but you won't be hurt too much either.

2013-05-17 DON'T BUY FLR-N Fluor Corp.

World wide engineering company, probably the biggest in the world. He would take money out of Fluor and put it into SNC-Lavalin Group. He feels that all the negative press SNC has been having is actually old news, and it's pushing the stock down past where it should be.  Has a lot of confidence in the new management.
