Did a shareholder vote and Pacific Rubiales (PRE-T) will be assuming the management of the company. Drilling off the coast of Guyana. Got to about 1000 feet of the target. Because of gas creating a lot of pressure, they couldn’t finish the drilling. Potential is still there and could be a world-class discovery. Pretty good play going forward but it is risky and a speculation.

Company is stuck for now with the issue of reissuing licenses and they need to find money again. Have been in this predicament before and have always raised money. There is a possibility of a massive oil find just north of Guyana. The problem is that over the years they have diluted the stock but from the current price, it is still pretty high from what the possibility could be.

2012-06-15 COMMENT Jaime Carrasco Participated in this company since 1998. All along it was complete speculation. If they find the oil it will group and if they don’t it will go down. That last well they drilled was dry. They did the hole to meet a drilling commitment. They were able to raise money in this market when no one else could raise money. Results again in late summer.

2011-11-11 TOP PICK Jaime Carrasco Oil. Drilling for elephants in northern South America. This company controls the 2nd biggest landholding of the whole play. There are a lot of big companies in the area. They should start drilling in the next couple of months. Has never seen anything with this kind of upside.

Settled favourably and stock shot up but has since pulled back. Holdings are deemed to be highly prospective with a potential for billions of barrels of oil eventually. Still early days. Very exciting story, but this is one of those stocks that has an all right balance sheet but not even close to what it will cost to drill some exploration wells. Will have to strike a deal with a major. Looking pretty pricey. Consider taking some profit.
